Favorite Thing about New Bethel Baptist Church: the welcoming atmosphere I’ve personally experienced. As a Dual – member, when I did finally join, the most common response was something to the effect of “I already thought of you as a member!” But even before that day, so many people welcomed me back by name, whenever I was able to attend- which was sometimes very sporadic due to my work situation at the time and with also trying to attend my home church Zion UCC whenever I could. No matter how long it had been there were always welcoming smiles, handshakes, and hugs when I would walk through the doors at New Bethel. I am glad to be a part of that and can only hope to do my part to make others feel as welcomed here.

Favorite Thing about New Bethel Baptist Church:: I have been going to New Bethel Baptist Church since I was nine years old and that was seventy years ago. I have made many friends at church and have been given the opportunity to serve in many capacities, all at my choice. Being involved in the church has also provided opportunities to serve on the Board and as President of the American Baptist Churches of Greater Indianapolis. The church provides the ability for an individual to become as involved as they please. Our four children were all baptized at New Bethel, two who live in the area are currently active members. The other two are active in their respective churches. Three of our granddaughters were also baptized at New Bethel Baptist Church.
